Textual image: It (riparian) means creekside...it's the place where cattails flank the water's flow and Red-Winged Blackbirds find their next meal. It's our community's water and the land beside it. Prescott Creeks is dedicated to keeping riparian habitat healthy. Unlike many other cities in the semi-arid Southwest, Prescott has eight creeks winding their way through town. These cool, shady greenways are a haven to humans and wildlife alike, and they are the reason Prescott is in its current location. Granite Creek, and its seven tributaries, provided the early settlers with a sufficient supply of drinking water.
