Miller Creek
Miller Creek originates in the Prescott National Forest above Thumb
Butte. Many people actually confuse Miller Creek in this area with
Butte Creek, presumably due to its proximity with Thumb Butte! Hiking
and picnicking are available at Thumb Butte just inside the Forest
boundary. There is a $2 use fee, but it is well worth it, as visitors
can choose from numerous trails to hike upon. After flowing through
the Mile High Neighborhood in western Prescott, it joins Granite Creek
in West Granite Creek Park.
Directions
From downtown Prescott follow Gurley St. and then Thumb Butte Rd.
until reaching the Prescott National Forest boundary. Continue just
a bit further and you will arrive at Thumb Butte Park.
