It’s all about Caring For Your Community. Start off Earth Day 2008 right by joining hundreds of your neighbors in removing trash from creeks all over Prescott. Last year, volunteers helped Prescott Creeks remove almost eight tons of trash from Granite Creek and the creeks that feed it.
Granite Creek Cleanup hosted by Prescott Creeks runs 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Registration is at the Granite Creek Park Ramada. Cleanup participants will receive a free T-Shirt, coffee & snack.
Then come back to Granite Creek Park between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for the Earth Day Celebration hosted by the Open Space Alliance. Enjoy the Earth in style with live music, a community parade, food vendors and FUN!

Master Watershed Steward Program
Master Watershed Stewards are highly trained volunteers working closely with the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension and the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality to improve the health of their watersheds. Stewards may come from a variety of backgrounds. To become certified, Master Watershed Stewards participate in over 40 hours of course work to learn the basics of watershed science. Once certified, stewards draw on their training, resource materials, UA Cooperative Extension, ADEQ, and other agencies as they volunteer in various ways to improve their watersheds. Learn more...
