Watershed Improvement Plan

The document below is a preliminary Watershed Improvement Plan (WIP) for the Upper Granite Creek Watershed, located in Prescott, Arizona. It provides a detailed description of the watershed; potential sources of bacterial and nutrient pollution; chemical, physical, and biological data collection; data reduction and interpretation; and general findings and recommendations for water quality improvements. This project originated as a community-driven watershed survey and planning effort to address water quality concerns in Granite Creek and Watson Lake. Prescott Creeks manages the planning project and facilitates the Granite Creek Watershed Improvement Council (WIC).

At this time, the WIC is soliciting public feedback on the preliminary plan. The plan is available to download by section below. You will have the opportunity to provide feedback on each section with comments, questions, or recommendations. The final Watershed Improvement Plan will be released after additional research has been conducted, specific recommendations made, and public feedback considered.

The public comment period will close on January 31st, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Thank you for your participation!
