I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is almost here!  Time goes fast when you are having fun, and my job here at Prescott Creeks is exactly that.  This past month I have worked a lot with various volunteers and community groups, which has been an enriching experience…fitting for the upcoming Holiday Season.

A Gift of Giving: The Office Perspective

As the new Office Manager, I feel thrilled to be able to be part of an organization that directly gives back to the community and the environment in which we live.  I’m sure all of us have experienced the gift of Prescott and want to share it with future generations.  One way to ensure Prescott continues to thrive is for us to represent a culture of giving.

Watershed Field Survey

In an effort to better understand potential water quality impacts in our watershed, local Creek Crew volunteers got their boots on the ground and walked the creeks within the City of Prescott and unincorporated county areas to document:

Water Quality Monitoring

PURPOSE

A volunteer water quality monitoring program was initiated in January, 2010 to further the WIP by identifying the main sources of nutrients and E. coli bacteria in the watershed. Creek Crew volunteers are collecting field data and water samples along Granite Creek and its main tributaries (see map of sampling sites below).
