Dirt from the Field-March 2012

-March has been the month of learning, service, and the first signs of spring in Watson Woods.  Although our winter hasn’t produced precipitation like we had initially hoped, the warm weather has allowed us to have various groups of school children out at the Preserve, and we are still making great progress giving firewood out to the community.

Kick Off Spring Break with Service

Date and Time:

Serve Yavapai and Prescott Creeks invite you to help improve the Watson Woods habitat and gather firewood to be donated to families in need. 

 

Monday, March 12th at the Watson Woods Riparian Preserve (meet at the Rosser entrance). 

12 - 2 pm: Service Project. Requires bending, lifting, carrying firewood, and moderate physical activity.

As I approach, MLK 2012 and our participation in the local community service day honoring Martin Luther King Jr.
